The Under Pressure Basketball Academy (UPBA) offers specialized coaching and personalized strength training in a state-of-the-art facility where athletes can hone their skills while elevating their basketball IQ.

We are affiliated with M.I.A Hoops, a high-level traveling basketball program with a great track record for college recruitment. With worldwide prep, college, and professional connections, our athletes benefit from heightened exposure and recruitment opportunities.

UPBA student-athletes are guaranteed placement on the M.I.A. Hoops team during the off-season, where they will travel to compete in live period tournaments for maximum exposure. During the season, our athletes are able to play for the high school of their choice, public or private.

Under Pressure Basketball Academy has teamed up with the Permission to Succeed Education Center, a micro-private school and tutoring center, to provide an academic program tailored to each student's individual needs. Students benefit from a dynamic academic program that offers flexibility, 24-7 OnDemand tutoring, a diverse curriculum for personalized learning, and true grade-level placement. Our students have a great support network with certified school counselors, well-qualified teachers, and one-to-one lessons. Our platform empowers students to learn at their own pace, anytime and anywhere.

Comprehensive assessments allow us to customize lessons across subjects based on a student’s true grade level. We offer AP classes and dual enrollment for college credits to ensure students are realizing their full potential.

Under Pressure Basketball Academy graduates are well-equipped for success on and off the court. Students benefit from a well-rounded education with a focus on financial literacy, media training, etiquette, entrepreneurship, and AI adaptability. Our personal development program is aimed at creating self-sufficient adults with strong leadership skills, unwavering self-confidence, and emotional intelligence.

Public speaking assignments, leadership workshops, and inspirational guest speakers provide students with important tools for personal growth. While many of our field trips and community service projects are designed to expose students to new perspectives to foster emotional intelligence.

Students that are engaged in community service projects have the opportunity to take on leadership roles that hone their communication and problem-solving skills while instilling important lessons about teamwork and cooperation. Working closely with community leaders and mentors allows students to develop important relationships with productive members of our society, connections that can heavily impact future educational and career prospects. While exposure to diverse groups opens students up to different perspectives and allows them to develop a healthy sense of compassion and understanding.
